Made in Murfreesboro has two full time employees – Laura, and myself – Titus. Laura oversees the administrative part of the business (correspondence, book keeping, public relations, etc.), while I and several assistants do all the fun stuff: take photos, teach photography classes, design/update our website, have lunch with clients, etc. We also work with several other local associate photographers, printers, marketing team, business advisors, etc.
Our main goal is to be more than just a simple photography studio in Murfreesboro. We love people, and our presence in downtown Murfreesboro makes it a great opportunity for us to meet new people every day. Not only do we get to take their photos or teach them how to use their cameras, but we also get to be involved in the local community of photographers through our newly established Murfreesboro Photo Club.
Our services range from weddings, portraits, and commercial/editorial work, to teaching monthly photography classes and lessons, and to selling fine art prints of landscape and nature photos published on The Obvious. Our approach to any type of photography is very simple and natural, yet we are always striving to present our clients with unique photos.
In case you haven’t figured it out yet, Laura and I are married. We have three children: Sonia, Eva, and David. Sonia has blond hair and blue eyes, Eva is cute and stubborn, and David is just a baby for now. Browse through our portraits gallery and you’ll see plenty of embarrassing photos of all three of them (some of Laura, too).
Laura was born in Jackson, TN, while I came all the way from Romania to go to college in the US. That was back in 2001. We met in 2004, and got married in 2005. We both studied Music in college. I even ended up teaching piano at MTSU, where I got my Master’s in Piano Performance. I still play piano quite a bit, but it is too personal to do it for money.
And as far as I’m concerned, photography is not all that different from piano… same language, much smaller instrument. I believe once you are an accomplished artist in one area of art, whether music, dance, theater, or visual arts, you are an artist in any other area you chose to pursue. That’s why photography came very natural to me.
Laura has a way with words which I don’t have. She is a pleasure to talk to, both in person and over the phone, so if you have any questions about us or our services, it will brighten your day to talk with her.
