Digital Photography & dSLR Cameras – $125
Our digital photography classes are designed to help you understand how your digital SLR (dSLR) camera works and how to take the best photos in some of the most common real-life situations. We want to equip you with the technical knowledge that is required for you to make great photographs and, with time, become a great artist.
Each class is open to a maximum of 10 students and there is no requirement other than owning a digital SLR camera and having a passion for photography. Our students range from professional photographers, who come from a film-photography background and wish to better understand their digital equipment, to stay-at-home mothers who just want to take better photos of their children, and to beginner photographers who wish to start a career in photography.
If you do not have a digital SLR camera yet, feel free to email us for a list of recommended cameras, or just go to our online resource website – RecommendedCameras.com and see an extensive list of recommended camera equipment.
The main topics we will cover are: Exposure, Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, White Balance, AutoFocus, Metering, Flash, and other functions of your camera.
Individual Lessons
If you prefer one-on-one photography lessons on a specific subject/area, we require a minimum of two meetings within a two week period. Our lessons are between two and three hours long, and they cost $75 per lesson. Please email us your available dates and a few details about your equipment, area of interest, etc.
